Yakiniku Yazawa – Japanese BBQ

The First Post.

Being a big fan of Japanese food, it is only right to kick-start this blog on a right note by blogging about what I would consider, the best Japanese BBQ I have been to yet between Malaysia and Singapore. Yes, this restaurant is located in our neighbouring country, Singapore! *Singapore 1, Malaysia 0*

Prior to visiting Singapore in January earlier this year, a friend of mine who is a foodie set off a reminder to me to visit Yakiniku Yazawa.  Little did I know how much the taste of beef at this restaurant will linger with me for a long time till now.

Marbled Japanese wagyu cuts.

This restaurant only serve Japanese/ Australian wagyu beef, pork and chicken for BBQ meats. As we were there for only one reason, we ordered Japanese wagyu beef only. We tried the Superior Cut Beef Tongue (SGD28), Kalbi (SGD32), Cube Cuts (SGD38) and Outside Skirt (SGD25). Mind you, the plates you see above are portions of two each. This meal will set you back at about SGD80/ RM200 per person.

From the presentation of raw beef on our table, we were amazed at the marbling, colour and freshness of the beef served. Service is great here! Staffs were attentive to our needs. All beef cuts only require a few seconds on each side and it is ready to be eaten. Be AMAZED the moment your taste buds get into contact with the beef.

Seconds is all it needs for perfection.

One great thing about this restaurant is the exhaust vacuums at the side of the BBQ grill which works magic! We left the restaurant without smelling like we had Japanese BBQ for dinner.

So head down south to Singapore and enjoy the splendid beef offerings Yakiniku Yazawa has to offer. You will thank me for it.
